Crock Pot Taco’s

Crock Pot Taco’s are a quick and simple way to have dinner ready after a long day out. My husband and I love our Crock Pot for various meals, but Taco’s are a favorite. Add frozen meat, seasoning, water and put on low for 6-8 hours and its ready for you with no fuss.

Once we are home from work, we chop up the taco meat in the Crock Pot with a manual food chopper, prepare any other toppings we want to go along with the tacos, fix our plates and dinner is ready, that quick.

Frozen Meat for Crock Pot Taco's

I use frozen hamburger for our tacos. I’ve found this works best for the 6-8 hour cook time in the Crock Pot. Just place about 1-1 1/2 pounds frozen meat in the Crock Pot. Add 2 TBSP of your seasoning and 1 cup of water. My homemade taco seasoning is quick and easy to put together and use: https://msfoodsnob.com/homemade-taco-seasoning/(opens in a new tab)

Secure the lid on your Crock Pot, plug it in and turn the setting to LOW.

For my taco’s, I leave in the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. I’m lucky enough to be able to run home from work and start these on my lunch break. So at about 11:30 am, I turn the crock pot on and the taco meat is finished by the time we get home between 5:30 – 6pm.

Taco Meat to be chopped

Once your taco meat is finished cooking, use a hand chopper and finely chop the hamburger to the desired consistency you prefer.

Add your desired topping and serve. We usually just eat taco’s. Mostly we use soft shell tortilla’s, but this night we choose crunchy taco shells. Either are just delicious.
