Mississippi Pot Roast
This Mississippi Pot Roast is tender, delicious, full of incredible flavor and made with only 5 ingredients.
As much of a foodie that I am, I had never heard of a Mississippi Pot Roast before a coworker mentioned it. She had brought her leftovers for lunch and a conversation occurred between a few us. Of course, my curious self, had to go home and look it up. I found several variations of the recipe and decided on one. It has only 5 ingredients that make it simple.
This Mississippi Pot Roast is simple to throw together in your crockpot, turn on and let it do its thing for 8 hours. It will be the most delicious, tender and juicy pot roast you’ve ever had.
A Mississippi Pot Roast is made with a chuck roast. Slow cooking a chuck roast yields an incredible tender roast. Adding the other 4 ingredients packs it full of flavor and creates the most fantastic gravy for potatoes, rice or noodles. I use a frozen chuck roast when making mine, but a thawed chuck roast works just as well.
Add the seasoning and butter.
Put the lid on…..
Put the crockpot/slow cooker on low and let it do its thing for 8 hours.
