Cheesy deliciousness along with the sweet, salty tenderness of lobster. Divine!!

I used gluten free elbow noodles for my recipe. There was no difference to taste at all.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable Oil
  • Kosher Salt
  • 1 lb Elbow Macaroni ( I used gluten free)
  • 1 quart Milk
  • 8 Tbsp Unsalted Butter, divided
  • ½ Cup All-purpose flour
  • 8 Oz. Extra-Sharp Cheddar, grated (4 cups)
  • 12 Oz. Gruyere Cheese, grated (4 cups)
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Freshly ground black pepper
  • lbs Cooked Lobster Meat
  • Cups Fresh White breadcrumbs (Optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 375℉.
  • Drizzle oil into a large pot of boiling salt water, and the pasta and cook according to directions on package, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain Well.
  • Heat milk in a small saucepan, but don't boil it.
  • Meanwhile, in a large pot, melt 6 tablespoons of butter and add the flour. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring with a whisk.
  • Still whisking, add the hot milk and cook for a minute or two until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Add the Cheddar and Gruyere, 1 tablespoon salt, the nutmeg and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the cooked macaroni and lobster and stir well.
  • Place mixture in a casserole dish or individual gratin dishes.
  • Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and combine with the fresh breadcrumbs and sprinkle over the top of the Mac-N-Cheese. (optional step – especially if you desire gluten free)
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese sauce is bubbly and the macaroni is browned on top.
